On 18th December 2010, the Parent Support Group organized a trip to Sungei Buloh. There were more than 20 people (parents and their families) attended this outing!
The trip started out from Bukit Panjang Govt High School. The parents had lunch organized by the SFE co-ordinator, Jenny before setting out for the trip. Jenny also helped booked the transport to bring the group to Sungei Buloh.
Sungei Buloh is a nature reserve located in the North Western part of Singapore. We arrived, got our tickets and wandered into the nature. Parents enjoyed the nature, seeing many species of birds, mangrove swamps, and even got to see mud skippers, king crabs and a lot more. Parents not only enjoyed the nature, but also got the the opportunity to chat with fellow parents and got to know each other better, bonding as they did so. Walking in the nature reserve not only helps us to bond better, but also provides us with an opportunity to exercise, which most people nowadays do not have sufficient time to do.
Although it rained slightly, it did not dampen the spirit of the parents. Everyone was equally enthusiastic about the explanation provided for by a guide from the park. It was an afternoon of fun and we all enjoyed it.
