1. Last year, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary, with the theme “imagination soaring, empowers the soul”. The concept of imagination is a powerful one. Even J. K. Rowling, the Harry Potter author, once said that "we do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already; we have the power to imagine better."
2. BPGHS has progressed from a village school to an autonomous school to a Band 1 school over the last 50 years. So what is next? How do we ensure that our school continues to scale even greater heights over the next 50 years?
3. I have coined the term BPian Imagination to capture our collectivemind, heart, and imagination about what we want to achieve at our school. This year, we have started the process of reviewing the school vision, mission and values with the Parent Support Group, teachers, executive and administrative staff, and alumni.
4. All BPians will also have a chance to play a part in the review of the school vision, mission and values. We intend to make use of Facebook to engage BPians and to create word of mouth buzz about their aspirations for BPGHS.
5. Finally, I want to thank every member of the BPian community – Parents, staff, the School Advisory Committee, BPians and alumni – for your strong support of our school. I am confident that with your continued support, BPians can scale even greater heights in the years to come. Regards
